Happiness, well-being, prosperity, strong immunity, healthy mind and body is what healthy living gives but it’s not easy to achieve because it’s a process that is steady and continuous. Many factors are important to live healthy life and all of them are closely or indirectly associated with one another.

Watch What You Eat

As experts say, you are what you eat. So be diet conscious whether you want to maintain weight, make body strong or wish to shed some extra pounds. Such diet doesn’t mean restricted foods, measured calories and abstinence from certain foods. It’s all about choices. Always go for foods that are rich in nutrients like carbs, fats, proteins, vitamins, fiber, and minerals. Take at least two liters of water daily to replenish for the loss and give enough moisture for our body.

Manage Your Stress Levels

Living in these modern times means that we all feel Stressed and burnt out. And when there is stress, depression and anxiety; almost all bodily functions are disturbed. There are gastro issues as well that directly affect digestive system and general health. Try to avoid stress or manage it in proper way. Consult experts if condition is severe. Reading an interesting book, tuning out favorite soothing music, a trip to a hill station or dining out with friends can help.

Sleep Well

When brain is deprived of enough sleep, it malfunctions. There is lethargic feeling all day that hampers efficiency and productivity at home and office. Get at least 8 to 10 hours of night sleep that is not intermittent. It should be continuous. Sleep early and get up in the morning as early as possible.

Exercise Regularly

Imagine how much strength is achieved after yoga, aerobics, cardio or gym as it activates

different muscles of the body and tones them nicely. Swimming is another fun way to stay healthy and happy. Jogging, running or walk are also stress busters and contribute to healthy heart.

Socialize and Be Active

Many people are too introvert to mix up with people around and prefer solitude that has a deep adverse impact on their mental and physical health. Be social and try to get to your circle often. Share your thoughts with them and know what is going on in their lives. It gives pleasure knowing each other and sharing feelings. Attend parties, events, weddings, official meetings, seminars and workshops to learn things fast and get in touch with like-minded people.

See Your GP for Medical Check Ups

Once or twice a year, get complete medical check up to see any complications in body functions. If there be any, try to get it treated as soon as it is diagnosed. Get the best physician in town to make sure treatment is going perfect. Prevention is better than cure, so try to avoid all things that cause or trigger the disease.

Recreation Time for Self

Choose any recreational activity like playing games in sports club or planning a trip with family to a botanical garden or visiting a museum. These keep your mind fresh and have positive effect on physical health as well. Follow the guidelines to stay healthy.
